Responsibilities

This position is responsible for all payroll functions which include payroll processing, time card management and various types of payroll reporting.  This role will also aide in researching and implementing training curriculums and provide general assistance to the Human Resources department.  This position requires acute attention to detail and the highest level of confidentiality.

 

  • Accurately processes bi-weekly payroll
  • Checks time cards for accuracy and ensures time cards have been approved by management
  • Ensures overtime has been approved by management prior to payroll processing
  • Provides bi-weekly payroll reports on PTO and Overtime, highlights areas of concern
  • Sets up new hires within the HRIS system
  • Works with department managers and directors to source appropriate training
  • Hosts webinars, lunch and learns and open discussions on topics of interest
  • Conducts phone screens and schedules interviews as needed
  • Creates new hire folders and creates applicant folders for hiring team
  • Maintains applicant tracking system
  • Assists in the revision of job descriptions
  • Filing
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience processing payroll
  • 2 year degree in business or a related field

 

Additional Experience/Skills:

  • Strong recordkeeping and organizational skills
  • Proficient with reporting and payroll software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confidentiality and integrity are essential  

Physical Demands:

  • Drug Testing
  • Inoculations may be required
  • Work environment is typically general office and laboratory
